Jessica Melchiorre was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020 and has practised exclusively in family law since that time. She represents clients in a broad range of matters, including high-conflict parenting disputes, child and spousal support claims, complex property division, equalization and trust claims, and cases involving family violence.
Jessica manages her files from the initial consultation through negotiation, mediation, settlement and, where necessary, trial. She has appeared regularly before both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice and has experience preparing and arguing a wide range of court materials, including Applications, Conference Briefs, Financial Statements, Net Family Property Statements, Offers to Settle, mediation briefs, cost submissions and factums.
Jessica earned her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. After returning to Ontario, she completed the National Committee on Accreditation process while volunteering with Duty Counsel and subsequently articled in family law litigation. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English Literature from John Cabot University in Rome, Italy.
